Review of The Blue Breeze Inn

With the Viva Review in at a whopping 9/10 I felt the need for a review from Ultimo.

Grabbing my girlfriend and bracing the cold we hurried up the road to Ponsonby Central.

As part of the new development this restaurant is currently bustling and we didn’t even think we would get a table with queues out the door.

As soon as we entered our coats were taken and without a booking were sat at the bar and ordered Tanqueray’s and vinos and watched the hustle and bustle around us.

Once we were seated overlooking the chefs kitchen we began the difficultly we all go through when faced with a fab menu – choosing – the general philosophy is to share starters and mains with whoever you’re with.

We settled on the peking duck for main and were not disappointed – the duck together with the plum sauce took me back to the UK and memories of Chinese food and travels.

Service was excellent and food even better – I’d agree with a 9/10 Viva – definitely check it out if you’re in my neck of the woods!
